Local Jewish officials are joining President Barack Obama in the call for more support of Israel amid mounting tensions in the Middle East.

Brooklyn Congressman Bob Turner (R-District 9) and Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-District 48) joined numerous elected officials in Crown Heights yesterday to condemn growing pressure to create a two-state solution between Iran and Israel.

At the meeting, a possible boycott of all Israeli products was also discussed. Some members of the Park Slope Co-op believe the economic pressure against Israel will end a segregated political system against Palestinians.
