Mild winter sprouting early buds at BK Botanic Garden

Warm temperatures are making for some early bloomers at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, with several plants and trees already sprouting buds. Garden officials say temperature fluctuations are common, and that the flowers will continue to bloom unless the forecast hits a long chill. Visitors say the vibrant colors are a welcome sight, but that spring allergies are starting to take hold. Since the pollen season has started early, medical experts are indicating a long allergy season.
