Cops: Elderly man pushed onto Lorimer St. subway tracks

Police are searching for a pair of teens who they say pushed an elderly man onto the subway tracks after robbing him in Williamsburg.

Authorities say the incident happened at the Lorimer Street "J" line platform Friday at around 11:45 p.m. The suspects allegedly took the 81-year-old victim's iPhone and then shoved him onto the tracks when he tried to chase after them.

The victim was treated at Woodhull Hospital and is expected to be OK.

The suspects are described as African-American and between 16-18 years old. One is about 6 feet tall and the other is around 5 feet 8 inches. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
