A Canarsie man has been hospitalized after a sewer fire spread underground and caused an explosion at a warehouse. Employees inside the Comp Express building say they saw smoke and called police. As they were discussing the issue with fire officials, an explosion rattled an electrical box, injuring a worker who was standing nearby. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to recover.
