Borough President Marty Markowitz delivered his annual State of the Borough address at Brooklyn College last night.

Markowitz spoke to a packed house of more than 500 people about his one major goal: reeling in local jobs. He even challenged Apple CEO Tim Cook to build a manufacturing plant in Brooklyn in hopes of giving East New York and Brownsville a fresh start.

The borough president also discussed transforming 4th Avenue into what he calls Brooklyn Boulevard, the success and possible expansion of the East River ferry and the resurgence of Coney Island.
