Second-place Mega Millions ticket sold in BK
There may not be a Mega Millions jackpot winner in Brooklyn, but one lucky local resident walked away with a second-place prize worth $250,000.
The second-place ticket was sold at International Deli on 14th Avenue. In all, 17 people in New York won $250,000. Several Brooklyn residents also won $10,000 prizes.
Three ticket-holders in Maryland, Kansas and Illinois split the world record-breaking jackpot of $640 million. The winning numbers were 02-04-23-38-46, and the Mega Ball 23.
The winners of the big prize have not been identified. In Maryland, the lucky ticket-holder is not required to go public.
