Greenwood Heights grooving to new hip-hop hotel
Residents and business owners in Greenwood Heights say they like the sound of their new neighbor, marketing itself as the city's first hip-hop hotel. Hotel BPM, which stands for beats-per-minute, is located near 4th Avenue and 33rd Street. A hotel DJ says he wants the community to realize the hotel will not be a disruptive club, but rather a luxury experience. The owner says he wants to incorporate nearby restaurants into his plan, possibly using them for room service orders. The hotel is scheduled to open in May, with grand opening room prices starting at around $139 per night.
