BK voting project gives residents a say in spending
A new voting experiment is giving Brooklyn residents the power to make changes in the borough. City councilmen Brad Lander (D-39th District) and Jumaane Williams (D-45th District ) are letting residents in their districts decide how millions of dollars will be spent to fix schools, libraries, parks, housing and transportation. Residents who spoke to News 12 Brooklyn say they're excited to offer their input. The participatory voting ends next week on April 1.
