Police: Newborn found dead in Williamsburg apartment
Police say they're investigating the death of a newborn baby girl found unconscious inside a Williamsburg apartment.
According to authorities, they responded to a 911 call last night from the Bushwick Houses at 24 Humboldt St. They say the baby was rushed to Woodhull Hospital just blocks away, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
EMS officials say it appears the baby was born to a teenage girl that may have hidden her pregnancy from her family.
Neighbors, however, say the teen never appeared to be pregnant.
So far, no arrests have been made, but police say they are going to continue their investigation. Officials are waiting for the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
