Family bids farewell to man killed by police car in Canarsie
Family and friends gathered Friday to say a final goodbye to the 27-year-old struck and killed by a police car in Canarsie two weeks ago.
Tamon Robinson was hit earlier this month at the Bayview Houses. Authorities say they responded to a call about someone stealing paving stones from the NYCHA complex and chased him until he was struck.
Robinson's family made a plea earlier this week for witnesses to come forward in the case.
The Kings County District Attorney's Office has launched an independent investigation into the incident.
