BK student takes center stage in monologue competition

A Brooklyn student is taking center stage in a monologue competition with a life-changing prize.

Moise Morancy is among the young actors from the Brooklyn Theatre Arts High School in Canarsie who competed in the fourth annual August Wilson Monologue Competition against students from seven other cities across the country.

Morancy stole the spotlight and came in first place. He's now headed to the national competition on May 7 where the top three winners will get a full ride to Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
