Suspects in death of detective attend pretrial hearing

The five men accused of murdering NYPD Detective Peter Figoski appeared in court today for a pretrial hearing.

Figoski was shot to death in December while responding to an apartment robbery in Cypress Hills.

Lamont Pride, the alleged trigger man, and the others all face murder charges. The suspects are due back in court Sept. 21. Until then, lawyers will decide whether each man will have a separate jury or if they will try them two at a time.

The five suspects are being held at Rikers Island.
