Coney Island residents demand elevator repairs
Tenants in a Coney Island apartment building say half of their elevators are in disrepair and calls for repairs have been repeatedly ignored.
Residents at the Coney Island Towers say two of the building's four elevators are not working, an issue for senior citizens living in the 19-story structure.
Building management says that the issues are caused by someone breaking into the control room and setting fires. They say police are investigating.
Building management also says partial service has been restored to one of the two affected elevators.
