Death of young Cypress Hills mother ruled a homicide
The medical examiner's office has ruled the death of a young Cypress Hills mother a homicide. According to authorities, 22-year-old Eiglen Esquea's was choked to death April 6. She was found unconscious and bound by the hands in her own apartment. Police have named Darnell Blunt, Esquea's boyfriend and the father of her youngest child, a person of interest in the case. They say no arrests have been made, and Blunt is believed to be on the run. Gilder Esquea, the victim's mother, says Blunt abused his daughter and that she fears for the lives of her grandchildren.
