Coney Island record repair counselors graduate
Some Coney Island residents graduated today and are now eligible to work with former prisoners as record repair counselors. The counselors are trained to assess how rehabilitating criminals have changed their behavior upon completion of their sentences. "We can help by clearing up people's rap sheets or conviction sheets," says counselor Ilma Joyner.
