Kletzky death prompts new security camera system
More than 100 advanced security cameras will be installed in Borough Park and Midwood, officials announced today.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind says the move grew out of the neighborhood outcry after last summer?s murder of Leiby Kletzky.
?I had made a commitment during those days that we would try to do something to make things safer,? Hikind says. ?One of the things that makes a community safer is having surveillance cameras.?
Hikind says the cameras are scheduled for installation within the next two months.
Levi Aron is charged with Kletzky?s murder. Police found Kletzky?s dismembered body last July.
