Students from 22 Brooklyn schools took a stand against gun violence today in the second annual 'Not In My Hood' march. The march began at Paerdegat Park this morning and ended with a community resource fair that featured job, internship and recreational opportunities, which organizers say are important in improving teens' futures.Councilman Jumaane Williams (D-45th District), who organized the event, said stops would be made along the route to honor the memory of several recent victims of gun violence. One stop made was for Tyrek Wheeler, an 18-year-old boy who was killed on Flatbush Avenue and 36 Street earlier this week. No arrests have been made in his death.
