Students at I.S. 259 in Bay Ridge are honoring the victims of Sept. 11 with a mural that was more than a year in the making.Students say they spent hours on the project, often coming in early or staying late to work on it.The names of the more than 3,000 people who died that day are etched into the mural walls. In the fall, the school plans to expand the memorial by planting thousands of daffodils around it.
