Officials consider historic district vote for Bed-Stuy
Local officials are considering naming the Bed-Stuy neighborhood a historic district. Some of the buildings in the community date back to the 18th century, and the Landmark Preservation Commission will be voting on whether or not to have a public hearing to deem the neighborhood historic. If Bed-Stuy is marked a historic neighborhood, it would join other Brooklyn neighborhoods like Park Slope, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill as historic districts.
