Fair held to educate domestic workers on rights

A 'Know Your Rights' fair organized by Domestic Workers United was held today in Park Slope for domestic workers and their employers.
A recent Park Slope survey found 60 percent of employers were in violation of the Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights, which was passed in November 2010. The law guarantees employees at least one day off a week and at least three paid days off each year.
Caretakers who organized the fair say the laws are still not being obeyed and they hoped the fair would educate domestic workers about what rights they're entitled to.
