A clinic to treat victims suffering from 9/11-related illnesses more than a decade after the attacks opened in Brooklyn today.

While there have been other 9/11 responder clinics throughout the city, this is the first 9/11 responders clinic to open in Brooklyn.

The center is located on the SUNY Downstate campus at 760 Parkside Ave.

The clinic was developed out of a partnership between SUNY Downstate and Stony Brook University's Long Island Clinical Center.

A physician who spoke to News 12 Brooklyn said that firefighters, policemen, construction workers and volunteers who aided in the post 9/11 cleanup, will be able to come to the clinic for a medical and psychological evaluation.
