Assemblyman aims to make 'happy meals' healthier for kids
A Brooklyn assemblyman is looking to change "happy meals" to "healthy meals."
Assemblyman Felix Ortiz says he is sponsoring a bill to stop fast food restaurants from giving away toys, unless it's with a healthy meal.
A McDonald's spokesperson told News 12 Brooklyn that the company is not to blame and that taking away a toy is not a solution to childhood obesity.
Ortiz says the bill is in committee.
