Hundreds protest Bloomberg budget cuts in BK
Hundreds gathered in Cypress Hills Wednesday to take a stand against proposed cuts to child care and after-school programs.
Angry parents argue that Mayor Michael Bloomberg's budget will send hundreds of kids out onto the streets if their activities are eliminated.
Families and elected officials also took a stand in Bushwick during an emergency town hall meeting at P.S. 106. They say more than 47,000 children could be left without health care citywide next year.
The City Council still needs to vote on the mayor's budget plan. Bloomberg announces proposed city budget
