East River Ferry eyes MetroCard access
Riding the East River Ferry may become easier if the ferry's operator is successful in its push to accept MetroCards.
The Metropolitan Transportation Administration (MTA) says it's in the very early stages of a one-for-all card that could be used on the train, bus and East River Ferry, which connects residents of Williamsburg, Greenpoint and DUMBO to Manhattan.
Ferry riders are all for it, saying that an all-for-one card would make life just a little bit easier.
The MTA says that even if implemented, the plan could be years away.
