The owner of the Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn has high hopes for a hockey team.
Bruce Ratner said Monday the arena can easily house both the Brooklyn Nets and an NHL team, possibly the New York Islanders, who are looking for a new home.
The center already has ice and locker rooms for both sports, and the Islanders will play the New Jersey Devils in a preseason game at Barclays on Sept. 28.
