Family and friends said goodbye Saturday to the woman shot and killed by police earlier this month.
Police say 23-year-old Shantel Davis was killed after a police chase through East Flatbush streets. Family members say Davis' life was cut too short and that shooting her was unnecessary.
Officials say officer Phil Atkins, the man who shot Davis, has been sued numerous times in recent years for alleged brutality.
Investigators say Davis also had a criminal record and that she was driving recklessly in a stolen car right before she was killed.
