State lawmakers have passed Gov. Andrew Cuomo's proposal to keep teacher evaluations from the public eye.
Once the governor officially signs off on the bill, it will allow only parents to see how their children's current teacher is rated.
Supporters say the intention is to avoid media exploitation of educators, but others disagree, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg who argues more information is better.
