Man indicted on murder charges for 2006 arson fire

The man accused of setting a Crown Heights fire that killed four people has been indicted on murder charges. Samuel Martinez, 38, was arraigned this morning. He's accused of intentionally setting a fire on Pacific Street back in 2006. A 23-year-old woman died after she jumped from the window of her fourth-floor apartment. A mother, her 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son were also killed trying to escape the flames. Investigators say Martinez would visit the building to buy herion from a tenant. He's charged with eight counts of murder in the second degree, and faces 25 years to life in prison for each count.
