Water tower brightens city skyline
A new sculpture aims to make New York residents see their city in a different light.Tom Fruin spent three months constructing a water tower made of salvaged Plexiglas. The sculpture, which sits atop 20 Jay St. in Dumbo, was lit up for the first time last night.Fruin received permission from the Department of Buildings and Landmarks Commission to create the water tower. It will be lit up for one year.
