Bensonhurst residents demand B64 bus return

? Upset residents turned out to the Bensonhurt West End Community Council meeting tonight, to plan a protest to bring B64 bus service back to their neighborhood.
The B64 bus service line, which ran south of 25th Avenue from Bensonhurt to Coney Island, was discontinued in June 2010 due to budget cuts.
Residents say that the line was their major form of transportation to the rest of the city.
Others say they can't climb the more than 40 stairs up to the D train platform and must take a bus, the nearest one being at least an extra 10 minute walk.
Organizers say they are planning to protest for the return of the B64 line on June 16 at the Ulmer Park Bus Depot.
