Red Cross assisting after Prospect Lefferts Gardens fire
The Red Cross has come in to assist families left homeless after the seven-alarm fire in Prospect Lefferts Gardens this morning.
Officials say the fire broke out at around 10:30 a.m. at 665 New York Ave.
The Red Cross has set up a shelter at an elementary school on Fenimore Street to help those affected by the fire.
