Williamsburg tenants hold rally over vacate order

Williamsburg tenants held a rally tonight against what they say is an unfair vacate order from their landlord.

Residents held the rally at 193 Bedford Ave.

The tenants protested what they claim to be a pattern of arson fires, unauthorized demolitions and a Department of Buildings vacate order in the name of gentrification.

Protesters, along with Brooklyn Legal Services and elected leaders say that the apartments are rent-controlled and are protected by law.
