Brookdale's pediatric patients get therapy through art

Pediatric patients at Brookdale Hospital recently took part in some art therapy through a nonprofit project called Dreamscape. The project encouraged children to come up with their own concepts. An artist took suggestions from kids at the hospital, then used their ideas to design black ink outlines on canvas. The children were able to fill in the outlines with paint. One of the art pieces will be donated to the hospital. Two others will be auctioned off, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Child Life Department at the hospital.
