MTA to restore and add service in Brooklyn
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced today that it is planning on restoring and adding service to its bus, subway and commuter rail lines in the coming months.
The MTA announced that it is restoring service cuts on the B2, B4, B24, B39, B48, B57, B64 and B69 bus lines. It plans on adding new bus service in the Brooklyn Navy Yards, East New York, Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Greenpoint, Spring Creek, Vinegar Hill and Williamsburg.
Planned subway changes include making the G train extension to Church Avenue Station permanent.
The MTA also said it plans on extending Long Island Rail Road service between Jamaica and Atlantic Terminal until 2 a.m.
