Bed-Stuy residents demand Putnam Ave. traffic lights

Bed-Stuy residents are voicing safety concerns to officials tonight, saying the Putnam and Howard avenues intersection is dangerous for drivers, pedestrians and nearby residents alike.

Nearby residents say many drivers ignore a stop sign on Howard Avenue. Residents are asking officials to install traffic lights at the intersection.

An early morning three-car accident Tuesday damaged one resident?s gate. Four people were taken to Woodhull Medical Center after the accident. A hospital representative says they're not releasing the conditions of the patients at this time.
