Police: 2 arrested in attempted synagogue burglary

Police say two people were arrested overnight for breaking into a synagogue on Lee Avenue. Investigators say two men, ages 17 and 22, broke into the Yeshiva Ahavas Yisroel synagogue at around 3:30 a.m.

Police: 2 arrested in attempted synagogue burglary
Police say two people were arrested overnight for breaking into a synagogue on Lee Avenue. Investigators say two men, ages 17 and 22, broke into the Yeshiva Ahavas Yisroel synagogue at around 3:30 a.m. They were trying to open a safe inside the house of worship, police say. The suspects are facing burglary charges.
