A Crown Heights farmers market may be forced to close, citing declining customers.
The market, open every Thursday on the corner of Albany and Lefferts avenues, is run by the nonprofit group Seeds in the Middle.
Nancie Katz, who runs the nonprofit group, says the biggest issue is getting the word out about the market.
Katz says the possible saving grace for the market is the city's Health Bucks initiative, which gives EBT users an extra $2 for each $5 spent on the card at the market. To hear extended interviews with volunteers and residents on the market, click on iO Extra on Channel 612.
