BK residents sweating out another summer scorcher
Temperatures have been in the 90s since Wednesday in Brooklyn and people at Sternberg Park are keeping cool while still taking advantage of the nice weather.
Dr. Robert Chin, chief emergency room doctor at Woodhull Hospital, stressed the importance of staying cool in the blazing heat. Dr. Chin says people should stay hydrated and look for signs of heat exhaustion, which include headache, drowsiness and extreme thirst.
Saturday is expected to be very hot, with the heat index making it feel like 106 degrees outside by the afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for the area tomorrow.
