Cooling centers will stay open through Saturday to help residents escape the heat during this heat wave.
Another way to cool off, could be to head to the Brooklyn Bridge Park pool, which is opened today. But, the pool only holds 60 people at a time, so water lovers should expect long lines.
Also, the McCarren Park pool recently reopened after being closed for nearly three decades.
