Closures to slow weekend travel in Brooklyn
The first weekend of fall has arrived, but some closures could slow things down if you're planning to travel through the borough.
The Brooklyn Local will be at Pier 1 of Brooklyn Bridge Park. The fundraising event will feature gourmet and specialty food items from the borough, but commuters should expect delays in the area.
Montague Street will also be closed both ways from Clinton Street to Hicks Street for Weekend Walks between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Construction will also close 99th Street between Shore Road and Harbour Court from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Anyone planning to take mass transit should also allow extra time and double check schedules before heading out as the MTA will be conducting plenty of track work.
