A medical examiner has ruled a Monsey toddler's death an accidental drowning. One-year-old Mendi Altman was pronounced dead at Maimonides Hospital overnight. The drowning occurred at his aunt's apartment

Medical examiner: Toddler's death an accidental drowning
A medical examiner has ruled a Monsey toddler's death an accidental drowning.
One-year-old Mendi Altman was pronounced dead at Maimonides Hospital overnight.
The drowning occurred at his aunt's apartment on 11th Avenue between 58th and 59th streets.
Sources say that Altman was found in the toilet bowl.
The medical examiner did not perform an autopsy because of the family's religion.
Police continue to investigate the tragic incident.
