Fire damages East New York supermarket
A four-alarm fire damaged a supermarket on Remsen Avenue in East New York this afternoon, taking firefighters three hours to get the fire under control.
Store employees say they evacuated the Fine Fare Supermarket around 1 p.m. after they smelled smoke. About 150 firefighters were on the scene to help put the fire out.
Firefighters are investigating what caused the fire. Only a few minor smoke-related injuries were reported.
