Police say they have made an arrest in connection with the assault of a police officer.
Authorities say that on Friday morning, Michael Ellison, who is not a student, used a student Metro Card at the Gates Avenue 'J' subway station. When police tried to arrest him, the 25-year-old allegedly knocked a female officer down a flight of stairs.
The officer was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with two broken ankles and a cut to the head that required stitches.
