Sandy shuts down major NYC bridges
Most city bridges have been closed as Sandy bears down on Brooklyn.
Major bridges have been shut down due to wind, including the Whitestone, Throgs Neck, George Washington, Henry Hudson, and Triborough bridges.
Public schools and Catholic schools will remain closed Tuesday.
According to Con Edison's website, more than 70,000 Brooklyn customers were without power as of 3 a.m.
If you lose power at any point during the storm, Con Edison customers should report the outage by calling 1-800-75-ConEd.
