BK school uses pop song parody to teach math
Students and teachers in one East Flatbush school were breaking it down on the dance floor to break down long division.
I.S. 285 math teacher Joelle Andres says she came up with a catchy song to help her sixth-graders remember the lessons they had learned the year before. Her class then made a music video to the popular song "Gangnam Style" to demonstrate how to use division with decimals.
Students say it's hard to forget "Long Division Style" because the tune sticks in their heads.
