Weather Update: Sandy gets closer to East Coast
As Hurricane Sandy makes its way toward the East Coast, it's still unknown exactly what path it will take.
News 12 Meteorologist Darryl Green says the Category 2 storm is currently over parts of Florida and the Bahamas and is expected to make its way toward the East Coast this weekend. Category 2 storms can produce sustained winds from 96 to 110 mph.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is urging city residents not to panic and says the city will make sure it's prepared as it tracks the storm.
