Distillery brings bourbon whiskey to Brooklyn
A Brooklyn business owner is not only creating hand-crafted whiskey, but he's also earning nationwide attention.
The Kings County Distillery sits inside a century-old building at the Brooklyn Navy yard where co-founder Colin Spoelman brings a bourbon flavor to the borough. Spoelman says everything is done locally, from cooking the organic ingredients to fermenting, distilling and then bottling.
The distillery has been around for only two years, but it's already won three national awards for its whiskey.
