Some Bushwick parents say they are wary of dropping off their children at a city day care that's now under new management.

The Horace E. Greene day care center had been operated by the Bushwick Improvement Society for four decades. The city's Administration for Children Services (ACS) recently denied the group's application to continue running the center, even though it was given a score of 90.6 out of 100. The new operator, Bushwick United, scored higher. ACS will not reveal what the new operator scored, but a Bushwick United representative says the group operates eight day care centers around the borough and has been in business since the 1970s. Despite such reassurances, some parents say they're uneasy about their children adjusting to the change. The Bushwick Improvement Society says it was unfairly kicked out of the day care center. Three other centers also now have new management, and some former operators protested the changes last week in front of the ACS building in Manhattan.
