New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has opened an investigation into a number of gas stations in the area that were allegedly price gouging following Hurricane Sandy.

In Brooklyn, the Sonomax gas station on Greenpoint Avenue is listed in the probe. According to the complaint, the station was charging $4.74 a gallon for gas.

In all, there are 13 stations under investigation.

Anyone who believes they were the victim of price gouging at the gas pump, or any other hurricane-related scam is asked the call the attorney general's office at 1-800-771-7755.
