Feds receive reports of deaths linked to popular energy drink

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says it has received 92 reports that link a popular energy drink to health issues, including death.

According to the FDA, the reports link 5-Hour Energy drink to 33 different hospitalizations and 13 deaths over the past four years.

The reports do not conclude that the drink caused the deaths, but experts say the reports raise concerns.

"I think it raises concern that people should be careful when using something that's touted to be a supplement but has never really been tested for safety," says Dr. David Listman.
